Today we visited Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire. A beautiful old castle, with fantastic ruins, textures and beautiful colours in the old stone walls. I’d love to shoot an couple portrait here or a wedding, so many ideas spring to mind! As per usual after photographing a place like this I couldn’t choose just one photo…

Love! Do you have a tilt shift camera?
Thanks π no I don’t have one – (would love one though!) I took all these with my 50mm 1.8 – gives a beautiful depth of field.
Oh and the second to last photo is actually a model of the castle that was there, not the real thing!
Ah, OK. That’s the one I was wondering about. π
Lovely, Clare! Indeed, extraordinary beauty among the ruins.
Beautiful. I can nearly see ‘laughing’ bridesmaids popped out from behind the columns in the old building …
… and a bride sitting in the arched window frame reading a Jane Austen!
Oh same, I should have left some business cards in the ruins! π
Great series!
Oh, I love these! Sure wish there were old castle ruins like that here in the US
There are plenty over here, even the tiny town I grew up in has its own castle ruins. You should plan a trip! π
