I had a major strop today when I got home because I couldn’t find anything I wanted to photograph. I played around with some awful shots and landed on this one, a layer of skin from some garlic.

So fragile. Love it.
Thank you, was so hard not to break it!
Very nice. How is this lit?
It was fairly simple really – white piece of paper on my coffee table, one flash light bounced upwards. The flash didn’t fill the entire frame, which is partly why I cropped it into a square. (I prefer square images anyway)
That’s seriously beautiful! I wonder about the lighting too. Love how delicate and soft it appears.
Thank you Inga, It was very simply lit – white piece of paper on my coffee table, one flash light bounced upwards. The flash didn’t fill the entire frame, which is partly why I cropped it into a square. I had a few problems getting me lens to focus on the subject because of the lack of colour I think, so I used manual focus.
It looks like a petal at first!
Two completely different things at once. Beautiful.
The everyday is interesting and beautiful. Your photo here proves that.
Thank you John.
What a gorgeously simple photo! The lighting is fantastic!
Thanks you, It was quite simple really, just one flash.
Beautiful!
The simplicity makes this a stunning photo… love, love, love it.
Thanks so much Maggie ๐
What a brilliant, brilliant image! – It makes me wanna start a series of color coordinated edibles and/or the remains of them! – Stunning picture.
What a great idea – I’d love to see it if you do that!
You got me there…let’s see what happens in my life and if I can sqeeze in a challenge… ๐
What a fantastic shot! I love the simplicity in this one and just tones of white…. couldn’t be better. thanks for sharing
Thank you, I love photographing white on white, does make it hard to focus on though!
